Bio

I retired in 2019, having spent 30-odd years as a professor, teaching and conducting research on childhood obesity, physical activity, and other public health-related topics. I've been an avid fly fisher since childhood, and now, after my wife and I moved to northern New Hampshire in 2016, I fish for trout, salmon and striped bass. I'm also active in learning more about fisheries science and taking part in conservation efforts, including those led or supported by TU.
